About the Role
Rudel Resources is seeking experienced Senior Fiber Technicians to join our nationwide network of 1099 independent contractors for ongoing commercial technology and infrastructure projects.
Qualified candidates should have extensive experience in fiber optic termination, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, as well as CAT6 termination, verification, cable management, and labeling. Technicians must be comfortable reading technical drawings, working in new-construction environments, completing punch lists, and coordinating with other trades.
Experience with commercial, educational, theater, or auditorium installations is preferred. Candidates must have reliable transportation, appropriate hand tools and PPE, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently. Ownership of professional fiber testing equipment is strongly preferred.
We offer ongoing project-based opportunities throughout Greater Houston and nationwide, with flexible assignments based on qualifications, location, and availability.
Requirements
Experienced in fiber termination, testing, and troubleshooting
Proficient in CAT6 termination, testing, and cable management
Ability to read technical drawings and installation specifications
Commercial and new-construction experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and coordinate with onsite teams
Reliable transportation, professional hand tools, and PPE
Professional communication and documentation skills
Experience with fiber testing equipment; ownership preferred
Willingness to accept project-based 1099 assignments
Theater, auditorium, and educational installation experience preferred
