About the Role
This is a 1099 independent contractor role supporting on-demand and project-based work in the Kansas City area.
Technicians are deployed to perform troubleshooting, installations, and support for IT systems, network infrastructure, and business equipment. Work may include single-site service calls, multi-location rollouts, and ongoing support assignments.
Requirements
Field Service Technicians
Eligibility and Compliance
MUST BE IN OR NEAR KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
Eligible to work in the United States
Ability to pass a drug screening
Ability to pass background checks when required by job sites
Valid driver’s license
Reliable personal vehicle suitable for field work
Active personal auto insurance (required; on-job coverage does not replace personal coverage)

Ability to follow scope, document work, and complete jobs independently
Professional demeanor on-site with clients
Willingness to learn and adapt across different job types
Work Expectations
Willingness to work on a 1099 bases
Submission and Maintenance of own availability
Ability to complete jobs on time and within scope
Maintain clear communication before, during, and after work orders
Provide accurate documentation, photos, and notes
Represent Rudel Resources professionally in the field
Understanding of Tech and network configuration
Technical Experience (preferred)
Network cabling and infrastructure installs
POS, kiosk, or equipment installations
Camera and security system installs
Prior field service or subcontractor experience
Certifications (BICSI, networking, low voltage, etc.)
Experience working in retail, banking, or industrial environments
