About the Role
Rudel Resources is seeking experienced Low-Voltage Technicians to join our growing network of 1099 independent contractors for ongoing emergency communication system installations, maintenance, and service projects throughout NATIONWIDE.
Technicians will install, replace, test, troubleshoot, and service emergency communication equipment used in elevators, swimming pool areas, and other commercial facilities. Projects may include emergency phone installation, cellular communication upgrades, line testing, device programming, connectivity troubleshooting, and system verification.
We are looking for dependable technicians who can work independently, follow technical specifications, communicate professionally with onsite personnel, and ensure emergency communication equipment operates reliably.
Requirements
Experience with low-voltage wiring and telecommunications equipment
Familiarity with analog phone lines, RJ11/RJ45 connections, and cellular communication devices
Ability to install, replace, program, and troubleshoot emergency phone systems
Experience testing phone connectivity and two-way communication
Basic understanding of electrical safety and low-voltage circuits
Ability to use multimeters, cable testers, and standard installation tools
Ability to read technical instructions and follow scopes of work
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Reliable transportation, professional hand tools, smartphone, and PPE
Ability to work independently and coordinate with property management and onsite personnel
Elevator phone, pool phone, or emergency communication system experience preferred
Ability to comply with applicable safety requirements and site-specific access restrictions
