About the Role

Rudel Resources is seeking independent 1099 Field Service Technicians to support on-demand and project-based work across the United States. This role focuses on on-site technical execution in real-world environments where reliability, communication, and follow-through are required.

Technicians are deployed to support IT infrastructure, network systems, business equipment, and operational technology across retail, banking, industrial, and multi-site locations. Work may include single-site service calls, multi-location rollouts, and ongoing support assignments.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site troubleshooting, installation, and support for IT and network systems
Install and service equipment including POS systems, kiosks, cameras, and connectivity devices
Execute cabling and infrastructure work as required
Follow provided scope of work and complete tasks within expected timeframes
Communicate clearly before, during, and after service calls
Document work performed, including notes, photos, and completion details
Represent Rudel Resources professionally on-site with clients

Work Structure
Independent contractor role (1099)
Project-based and on-demand assignments
Flexible scheduling based on availability and job requirements
Opportunities vary by location, skill set, and client needs

Work Environment
Retail stores, banks, commercial sites, industrial facilities, and other business environments
Work may involve travel within your region

Tasks may include physical activity such as lifting equipment, working on ladders, or running cabling

This role is best suited for technicians who are self-directed, reliable, and capable of completing work independently while maintaining clear communication and accountability.

Requirements

Field Service Technicians

Eligibility and Compliance
  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Ability to pass a drug screening

  • Ability to pass background checks when required by job sites

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Reliable personal vehicle suitable for field work

  • Active personal auto insurance (required; on-job coverage does not replace personal coverage)

Work Expectations
  • Willingness to work on a 1099 bases

  • Submission and Maintenance of own availability

  • Ability to complete jobs on time and within scope

  • Maintain clear communication before, during, and after work orders

  • Provide accurate documentation, photos, and notes

  • Represent Rudel Resources professionally in the field

  • Understanding of Tech and network configuration


Technical Experience (preferred)
  • Network cabling and infrastructure installs

  • POS, kiosk, or equipment installations

  • Camera and security system installs

  • Prior field service or subcontractor experience

  • Certifications (BICSI, networking, low voltage, etc.)

  • Experience working in retail, banking, or industrial environments
